SHOCKING LACK OF OLD ZISHA HU KNOWLEDGE IN THE TOP OLD ZISHAHU WORLD…………………………………………………………………………..

“What!”, we heard you all say,”The auction houses’ expertsdo not know about old Zisha hu?”….and “Not possible !” we heard some say.

Yes, why is it not possible? We are human beings and humanbeings can make mistakes or human beings can deceive.

Human beings can deceive like for example Liu Chuan Sin whofakes Zhang DaQian’s paintings or Huang Qian Liang who writes to transform afake Zisha hu into a genuine old Zisha hu or Peng Qing Fu who mixes his fakepots with other people’s genuine old pots in auctions.

But today we have heard enough of these people whodeceive….we are going to talk about people who are not fraudsters and who do notdeceive but who make mistakes because they only have knowledge of theirtrade(which are auctions) but not the knowledge of their subject(which is oldZisha hu)

Today we shall talk about so-called old Zisha hu experts or appraisers in mainland China’s big auctioncompanies.

In 2011, Ren Fu Collections sent Lily on an exploratory andinvestigative trip to mainland China(because she can speak, read and writeChinese)….and of course you all know in the same year Tony Ren paid aninvestigative ,fact-finding visit to Taiwan too.

The aim of the trip: to find out how much the mainlandChinese cream de la cream of old Zisha hu know about old Zisha hu and what other things were happening in that country.

We started straight from the top, that was, the so called oldZisha hu experts in the big auction houses.

The first auction house Lily went to was China Guardian(oneof the biggest auction company in China)

Lily showed the experts 10 early Qing Zhuni hus and theexperts examined the pots and said,”These pots are not early Qing, they areworthless pots!”

The second big auction house Lily went to was Poly Auction(the biggest auction company in China)

As usual, Lily showed the experts 10 early Qing Zhuni husand the experts examined the pots and said,”These pots are late Qing”.(Not bad,at least the experts know the pots are old but do not know how old)

The third auction company Lily went to was China’s CouncilAuction company.

Again Lily showed the experts 10 early Qing Zhuni hus andthe experts examined the pots and said,”These pots are old pots but the auctionprices for them are low, maybe just a few thousand Renminbis each”.(

Well, as for the other smaller auction companies Lily wentto, please do not ask us because if the biggest two auction houses in China cansay things like what we described-you will be shocked or laughed at what theother smaller auction companies said to Lily.

We do not know if these experts have improved in theirknowledge of old Zisha hu now but Good God!! in 2011-these so called old Zishahu experts did not even have any clue as to what’s the head or tail of oldZisha hu

And the most frightening thing about them are(were we hope)that these experts are the authorities who decide what pot is what, what potgoes into auction or what pot is priced what….in the only recognized legal andofficial buying and selling market place that we called an auction house.

We can only pray and hope that today the auction scenes havechanged and the experts have learned more.

P/s..A short crazy story for you..:we once showed 10Pre-Daoguang Zisha hus to History Museum of China and the experts in HistoryMuseum did not know so they asked the experts in the Palace Museum for their opinionsand the experts in the Palace Museum claimed our 10 pots were fake andworthless…but ..listen to this…when the same expert from Palace Museum was inPenang, Malaysia doing an arts authentication roadshow ..the same expert saidour pots, that we showed him in Beijing, are perfectly genuine old and worth alot.(the same pots that he once said were fake and worthless, he now says aregenuine old and worth money…because a Malaysian old Zisha hu expert was sittingbeside him giving him advice)

是的，为什么不可能呢？我们是人，人会犯错，人也会骗人。

但是今天我们已经听够了这些人的欺骗…我们要谈的人不是骗子，谁都会犯错误，因为他们只懂拍卖但不懂老紫砂壶知识。

今天我们将谈论所谓的老紫砂壶专家和鉴定人在中国大陆的大型拍卖公司。

在2011年，任富收藏派员工丽丽去探索和研究在中国大陆（因为她能说，读和写中文）的…当然大家都知道，在同一年，任汤尼支付的调查，实地考察台湾。

此行的目的：在中国见了最好的拍卖公司，调查他们懂紫砂壶多少，和其他的事情。

丽丽直接去上面，找中国的大拍卖公司。

第一是中国嘉德拍卖公司。（在中国一两个最大的拍卖公司）

丽丽拿十把早清的壶给拍卖公司的专家看，说：“这些壶不是早清的，他们是毫无价值的壶！路边都可以买到的壶！”

第二大拍卖行的莉莉去了保利拍卖公司（在中国第二大的拍卖公司）
